THE RIDES-Edition29
Edition29 THE RIDES. This magazine is for the motoring fan who wants an in-depth album of curated visual stories on their most desired motoring machines, races and the personalities behind them. With a full-fledged coverage made up of great photographs, video, and audio in an interactive package to collect and re-experience several times.
This is the Official EDITION29 THE RIDES Magazine App. For a limited time THE RIDES Issue 001 and THE RIDES Issue 002 are provided for free.
In Issue 003, London’s Design Museum founder Stephen Bayley comments that Concept Cars for the manufacturers are equivalent to showing a little leg, sexing up the brand. We don’t mind that a bit. For us, concept cars are a glimpse into the fantasy world of the design studios within these automotive brands. They show us what an unfettered opportunity to create at the best level can bring forth, and demonstrates to the motoring fan a little of the design and technology philosophy of each brand, giving us a chance to wait in anticipation for more.
Edition29 THE RIDES magazine is a cinematic presentation of the motoring life. We stay true to this theme by filling this issue with a panorama of visuals and accompanying audio of technically advanced visually stunning concept cars. The Architecture Editor of Wallpaper Magazine talks about megastar designer Marc Newson’s design of the Pantone color inspired Ford 021C Concept. Author Richard Dredge tells us about the latest Aston Martin V12 Zagato. Photographer and author Randy Leffingwell dwells into the super hybrid Porsche 918 RSR. Writer Euan Sey discusses the edgy BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept. The Issue concludes with the stunning homage to the 1930’s BMW 328, the newly unveiled black carbon fiber wrapped BMW 328 Hommage.
In ISSUE 002, we stay true to this theme by filling the second issue with a panorama of visuals that will thrill the motoring fan. This issue focuses on Formula 1 in 2010, and mainly on the return of the Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow moniker. This venerable racing icon has been absent from the Formula 1 circuit and is back in full force with the Mercedes-Benz takeover of last years champions, the Ross Brawn lead BrawnGP. We let the visuals be the guide, as each story unfolds with a stream of amazing photographs and accented with pieces of stunning video. We take you for a visual tour of the seminal GP race at Monte Carlo with Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton shown racing at this legendary road track. To top off the issue, we leave you with a short piece of video extravaganza from the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed, of the Formula 1 cars being spun around the Hill Track at Goodwood.
User note: Please make sure that at the end of the download process of each Issue wait to see the spinning icon next to the download button. After the spinning ends, a VIEW button will appear to use the issue.
