Unsocial is a location-based business networking app. We call it Unsocial because it's not focused on your current social network, but rather on the people you don't know yet (but probably should.) You can think of it kind of like Four Square meets LinkedIn with just a pinch of Match.com./p>
Here are some of the features of the app:
While attending conferences is a great way to network and meet people, it can be tough to get the most out of the networking time. You can set up some meetings and try to schmooze, but it's tough to know who's important for your business, and who isn't. Unsocial searches for you based on smart tags and user profiles, and alerts you when someone is nearby that you might want to connect with and meet. Integrated messaging lets you say hello and set up a time to meet. Premium conferences are also able to offer great features like agendas, speaker profiles, official twitter feeds and more.
Today's launch is a Beta - we want you to download the app, try it out, let us know what we can do to improve, and let us know which features are most important to you. It's also only available to people in the San Francisco Bay Area... right now. We'll launch more cities very soon. You can still download it, but we'll let you know when you can use the app. If you want to give us some feedback right here on the blog, please leave a comment. Otherwise, feel free to reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org
